About VORAGO Technologies

VORAGO Technologies designs and manufactures radiation-hardened (HARDSIL) and radiation-tolerant-by-design microcontrollers, microprocessors and analog-to-digital converters for the harshest space, defense and industrial environments. Founded in 2004 in Austin, Texas (originally as Silicon Space Technology Corp.), the company pioneered a patented hardened silicon-on-insulator process that fortifies commercially designed logic against total ionizing dose (TID), single-event latch-up (SEL) and single-event effects (SEE) while extending operation across an extreme -55 degC to +125 degC (and beyond) temperature range, without the cost and lead time of traditional full-custom rad-hard ASIC flows.

VORAGO's product line spans the ARM Cortex-M0 based VA108xx family, the higher-performance Cortex-M4 based VA416xx family, the new dual-core Cortex-M55 VA5 family (radiation-hardened VA53230 and radiation-tolerant VA54230, sharing identical silicon so customers can drop-in swap between orbit classes), the VA7230 dual Cortex-A72 edge-computing microprocessor with an integrated 3D GPU, and the VC91200 (LUMIC) four-channel radiation-hardened latch-up monitor. All parts are built on commercial foundry processes and qualified up to MIL-PRF-38534/38535 Class Q+/K levels and DLA QML, giving customers high-reliability, flight-proven silicon at commercial semiconductor economics.

VORAGO components have flown on more than 60 missions, including AST SpaceMobile BlueBird satellites, Lizzie Sat, Capella Space SAR satellites, Rocket Lab and SpaceX-launched buses, ViaSat-3, Space Development Agency Tranche 0 satellites, NASA's Artemis program, LunIR, TROPICS and CAPSTONE, Astranis GEO smallsats, Virgin Orbit and Tyvak spacecraft, SAOCOM-1B, and ULA's STP-3 mission. The company partners with foundries and packaging houses including SkyWater Technology (a DMEA-accredited Trusted Foundry) and Frontgrade Technologies, and has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 lists for its growth in the rad-hard semiconductor market.
