The VA7230 is a radiation-tolerant edge-computing microprocessor built for space applications, pairing dual 32/64-bit Arm Cortex-A72 cores (up to 1.5 GHz) with an integrated 3D GPU (10.4 GFLOPS, OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL ES 3.1), DDR3L/DDR4 memory support with ECC, PCIe Gen 3.0, USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gbit/s high-speed interfaces, a TSN-capable multi-port Ethernet switch, and a hardware security engine with ARM TrustZone and secure boot. It targets primary command/data processing, edge computing/local server, GPU-accelerated AI, image processing/compression, and communications payload applications, and ships with a development board that includes a VA41630 daughter board and Linux BSP.
