This Cookie Policy explains how KosmoLab (“we”, “us”, “the Platform”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://kosmolab.space (the “KOSMOLAB SPACE” platform). KOSMOLAB SPACE is a global B2B launch aggregator and space-hardware marketplace that connects Clients (satellite operators, universities and payload owners) with Vendors (launch providers and hardware manufacturers) through discovery, comparison and RFQ (Request for Quote) tools. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to provide information to the site operator. We also use related technologies such as local storage and similar browser mechanisms; in this policy we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies”.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies — temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- First-party cookies — set by KOSMOLAB SPACE directly.
- Third-party cookies — set by services we use (for example, analytics provided by Google).
2. Your consent and our cookie banner
Because our audience is global and includes visitors in the EU and UK, we apply GDPR, UK GDPR and ePrivacy (“cookie law”) standards to everyone. When you first visit KOSMOLAB SPACE, a consent banner appears so you can choose which categories of non-essential cookies to allow.
- Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them; they do not require consent.
- All other cookies (such as analytics and preferences) are not set until you accept them through the banner.
- You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time (see “How to manage or withdraw your consent” below).
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into the categories below. A detailed cookie table (with exact names, providers and durations) may be added to this page over time; the lists below describe the cookies we currently rely on.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies — always on
These cookies are essential to operate the Platform, secure it, and deliver the services you request (such as logging in to your cabinet). They do not require consent and cannot be switched off through our banner. They are used to:
- Maintain your session as you move between pages.
- Provide security and help prevent fraud and abuse.
- Keep you logged in to your Client or Vendor cabinet and protect account actions.
- Remember your cookie consent choice itself, so we do not ask you on every page.
- Support page caching and basic load balancing for performance and stability.
3.2 Analytics / performance cookies — consent-based
These cookies help us understand how visitors use KOSMOLAB SPACE — which pages, listings and launch windows are viewed, and how Clients and Vendors navigate the discovery and RFQ flows — so we can improve the Platform. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), deployed via the Google Site Kit plugin for WordPress.
- _ga — distinguishes individual users (typically up to 2 years).
- _ga_<container-id> (e.g. _ga_*) — persists the GA4 session state (typically up to 2 years).
- _gid — distinguishes users over a short period (typically 24 hours).
Analytics data is used in aggregate to measure usage and trends. These cookies are only set after you give consent.
3.3 Preferences cookies — minimal
These cookies remember small choices that improve your experience, for example:
- Which onboarding tips, guides or notices you have dismissed (such as cabinet onboarding hints).
- Your recorded consent preferences so the banner reflects your previous choices.
We keep this category minimal and use it only to avoid repeating prompts and to remember interface choices.
3.4 Advertising / tracking cookies — not used
We currently do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data or run third-party ad networks on the Platform. KOSMOLAB SPACE is a neutral lead-generation and discovery service; we do not process payments and are not a party to any transaction between Clients and Vendors. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting any such cookies.
4. Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode with our Google Analytics 4 / Site Kit setup. This means that analytics and related Google tags default to a “denied” state until you grant consent through our banner:
- Before consent, GA4 does not store analytics cookies on your device.
- If you accept analytics cookies, consent is updated to “granted” and GA4 begins collecting aggregate usage data as described above.
- If you decline, analytics tags remain in the denied state and do not set analytics cookies.
5. How to manage or withdraw your consent
You are in control of non-essential cookies and can change your mind at any time:
- Re-open the cookie banner / preferences on KOSMOLAB SPACE to update or withdraw your consent for analytics and preferences cookies.
- Use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you manage cookies under their privacy or security settings, and offer options such as blocking third-party cookies or clearing cookies on exit.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Please note: if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform may stop working correctly — in particular you may be unable to log in to your cabinet, stay signed in, or submit RFQs. Blocking analytics or preferences cookies will not break core functionality.
6. Third-party cookies and links
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use. The main third party is Google (Google Analytics 4 via Site Kit). Google’s use of data is governed by its own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses cookies
- Google Analytics data practices (Business / Safety Center)
Listings, vendor profiles and launch-window data on the Platform may include links to third-party websites (for example, launch providers, manufacturers or data sources such as The Space Devs “Launch Library 2”). Those sites set their own cookies and are governed by their own policies; we are not responsible for third-party cookies set outside KOSMOLAB SPACE.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in technology, or in legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again through the banner. Please review this page periodically.
8. Contact us
