About
The XTE+ GEO is Spectrolab’s newest GaInP/GaAs/Ge lattice-matched triple-junction solar cell delivering 33% beginning-of-life efficiency — the highest in the XTE+ family. Optimized for geosynchronous orbit and high-fluence environments exceeding 1e14 1 MeV electrons, it achieves 28.5% efficiency at 1e15 fluence, making it ideal for 15-year GEO communication satellite missions.
Fully qualified under the AIAA-S111-2014 standard, the XTE+ GEO provides industry-leading BOL and EOL performance. Available as bare cells or as complete CIC (Cell Interconnect Coverglass) assemblies with space-qualified coverglass, bypass diode, and interconnects for welded connections. With over 70 years of Spectrolab space photovoltaic heritage, the XTE+ GEO powers some of the world’s most demanding satellite missions.
