About
Spectrolab’s space solar panels are fully assembled to customer specifications and represent the greatest share of the company’s product deliveries. Based on parameters including maximum panel area, operating temperature, voltage requirements, and mission environment and duration, Spectrolab engineers optimize each panel for maximum end-of-life performance.
Panel substrates are typically provided as customer-furnished equipment, onto which Spectrolab’s multijunction circuits are bonded and interconnected. All panels incorporate cells from Spectrolab’s industry-leading XTE and XTJ family. Spectrolab leverages over 70 years of heritage in space photovoltaics to deliver panels for commercial, civil, and defense missions worldwide, having contributed to power generation systems for more than 500 spacecraft across GEO, MEO, LEO, and deep space orbits.
