About
Spectrolab manufactures and tests fully integrated space solar arrays for commercial, civil, and defense satellite missions, delivering complete assemblies to satellite prime contractors for direct integration onto spacecraft. These large-format solar arrays incorporate Spectrolab’s advanced multijunction solar cells and benefit from comprehensive test facilities including the large-area pulsed solar simulator (LAPSS II).
Each array is engineered to meet specific mission requirements for power output, environmental survivability, and operating lifetime. Spectrolab’s solar arrays have powered hundreds of geostationary communication satellites, Earth observation platforms, defense spacecraft, and scientific missions. The company has been supplying flight-proven solar power solutions to the global space industry since 1956, making it one of the most experienced solar array manufacturers in the world.
