About

The XTE-HF (High Fluence) is a GaInP/GaAs/Ge lattice-matched triple-junction solar cell optimized for medium Earth orbit and other very high radiation environments exceeding 1e15 1 MeV electron fluence. With 32% BOL efficiency and 23.6% efficiency at 1e16 fluence, it provides excellent end-of-life performance through the harshest orbital radiation belts, including Van Allen belt navigation missions.

Fully qualified under AIAA-S111-2014, the XTE-HF is engineered specifically for GPS/GNSS navigation satellite constellations, MEO communication satellites, and any mission profiled for intense long-duration particle bombardment. Part of Spectrolab’s industry-leading XTE cell family, available as bare cells or CIC assemblies.
