About
OPERA is 2NDSpace’s CubeSat separation and deployment system, sized for 12U/16U CubeSat missions. It features a lightweight design combined with high lateral clearance, and can be customized for orbital transfer vehicle (OTV) and launch service provider integration requirements. OPERA uses redundant non-pyrotechnic actuation with a dynamic clamping mechanism for secure hold-down and release, an easy reset procedure with no consumables required for ground testing and re-use, and redundant deployment feedback to confirm successful satellite release.
