About
The V Series is a waveguide-array-type satcom-on-the-move antenna system built as an integrated unit for mobile satellite communication. It combines fiber-optic gyro inertial navigation with beacon tracking to maintain lock during sharp turns and on bumpy roads, working with all Ku-band communication satellites so the equipped vehicle can continuously and accurately track a satellite during movement, enabling uninterrupted multimedia communication with a central station. The whole system integrates on the antenna turntable for a high-precision, low-profile, rugged, easy-to-install roof-mounted design. After the system starts, acquisition and tracking complete automatically without manual operation, whether the vehicle is moving or stationary; if signal is lost, re-acquisition takes only about 3 seconds, with a maximum transmission data rate of 4 Mbps. The outdoor antenna/turntable mounts on the vehicle roof while the antenna control unit (ACU) is a 1U 19-inch rack-mount unit installed in the vehicle cabin. Configuration includes the antenna/feed system, waveguide/connection cable/slip rings, azimuth-elevation turntable and servo drive, antenna control system, fiber-optic gyro inertial navigation system, and tracking receiver. Available in 0.6m, 0.8m and 0.9m sizes.
