About
AST’s flyaway antenna line is designed for maximum portability, using carbon-fiber reflector material for light weight, high strength/accuracy (RMS < 0.3mm), and rapid field assembly – the 1.2m auto model (FA120-AK) can be assembled by two people in under 3 minutes. It supports manual, manual-assist, and one-button automatic satellite acquisition, delivers high gain and low sidelobe performance, and is offered across C, X, Ku and Ka bands as part of a family spanning 0.75m to 2.4m. It supports DVB-S1, DVB-S2, beacon and modem-based satellite locking, and includes GPS/position-detection, polarization adjustment, servo drive, beacon receiving, and Wi-Fi wireless control systems. Typical applications include broadcast/media live-event backhaul, emergency and public-safety response, and oil-and-gas field communications.
