About

The AST fixed antenna line (represented by the 2.4m/8ft model FS240) delivers exceptional transmit/receive and receive-only performance for C-band and Ku-band frequencies, part of a broader family spanning 0.75m to 13m. The reflector design uses precision-formed panels, truss radials and a hub assembly with matched tooling for interchangeable components, and features a Ring Focus feed and sub-reflector design that yields high gain, low noise temperature, high antenna efficiency, and excellent rejection of noise and microwave interference. A large center hub provides spacious room for equipment mounting. The reflector is supported by a galvanized elevation-over-azimuth kingpost pedestal engineered for pointing/tracking stiffness and full orbital-arc coverage, adaptable to ground or rooftop installation. Meets or exceeds ITU-RS 580-5 and INTELSAT requirements, with a self-aligning aluminum reflector requiring no field alignment, factory feed-system testing, hot-dip galvanized steel parts, and a field-changeable feed system (switchable circular-to-linear on C-band). Options include specialized feed systems, antenna control/tracking systems (steptrack, program tracking, inclined-orbit tracking), reflector/feed de-icing, ODU support kits, lightning-rod and grounding kits, turnkey installation/testing, non-penetrating mounts, and high-wind configuration.
