About

The S910 is Aitech’s radiation-tolerant space-qualified 3U CompactPCI MIL-STD-1553B interface board, providing complete dual-redundant avionics bus connectivity for spacecraft command and data handling systems. The base board provides two MIL-STD-1553B channels, with an optional S911 mezzanine expanding the total to four channels — all dual-redundant and compliant with STANAG 3838.

Each channel provides a full dual transceiver and encoder/decoder implementation supporting Bus Controller (BC), Remote Terminal (RT), and Monitor Terminal (MT) modes. A 16k × 16-bit shared RAM buffer per channel provides protocol management memory. The board consumes less than 9.8 watts at 50% duty cycle and interfaces over a 32-bit PCI 2.1 bus at 33.333 MHz. A full BC/RT/MT driver software library is available for VxWorks. The S910 supports LEO, MEO, GEO, and deep-space mission environments.
