About
The CM951 is an enhanced PMC carrier card that combines the functionality of the CM950 carrier with an integrated dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553B interface in a single 3U CompactPCI slot. It hosts the CM950 carrier and adds an additional PMC site, allowing up to seven units to be used in an eight-slot enclosure alongside the SP0-S SBC for maximum I/O density configurations.
The integrated MIL-STD-1553B dual redundant interface operates in BC, RT, and MT modes, fully compliant with STANAG 3838 standard, and consumes less than 7 watts (dependent on 1553 traffic level) including the hosted PMC module’s contribution. The PCI bridge complies with PCI Bus Specification 2.3 and PCI-to-PCI Bridge Specification 1.1 for standard system integration.
As with the CM950, radiation tolerance grades include 45 krad (Si) unshielded total ionizing dose for the standard flight model and an optional 100 krad version for higher-radiation orbit regimes.
