About

The S703 is a radiation-tolerant PCI mezzanine card providing a single dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553B channel for spacecraft avionics bus integration. It implements complete MIL-STD-1553B protocol with dual transceiver and encoder/decoder, 16k × 16-bit shared RAM buffer (64k × 16-bit in engineering units), and memory management logic for all three standard operating modes: Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, and Monitor Terminal.

Compliant with STANAG 3838, the S703 interfaces via a 32-bit PCI 2.1 bus at 33 MHz and adheres to IEEE 1101.2 conduction-cooled mechanical standards for spacecraft integration. Power consumption is less than 3.3 watts nominal. The board is designed to mate directly with Aitech’s SP0-S SBC via the CM950 or CM951 carrier cards, providing a seamless path from compute to spacecraft bus interface in a minimal slot footprint.
