About
The E193 is a versatile 1/2-ATR enclosure supporting both 3U OpenVPX and 3U CompactPCI board standards in a single chassis design, making it uniquely flexible for system architects transitioning between these form factors or mixing board types across program generations. It accommodates up to four 3U boards plus one modular, easily removable 28 VDC input power supply in a compact 5″ × 6.5″ × 7″ (127 × 165 × 178 mm) machined aluminum package.
All boards are internally conduction-cooled, with the chassis providing natural convection external cooling that eliminates the need for spacecraft-provided active cooling interfaces. The environmentally sealed enclosure complies with MIL-STD-704 for power input and uses MIL-DTL-38999 circular connectors on the customizable front panel, providing rugged, reliable connectivity for mission-critical applications in mobile military, aerospace, and near-Earth orbit environments.
