About
Visiona exclusively operates ORBISAR, a high-penetration airborne interferometric synthetic-aperture radar (InSAR) designed in Brazil by the Embraer group. The system is regarded as one of the best available technologies for monitoring and mapping forested areas, including at night or under heavy cloud cover, and Visiona has developed its own radar data-processing pipeline and high-performance applications around it at a strong cost-benefit ratio versus alternative technologies. Data collected supports geodynamic monitoring of land surfaces and helps explain risk factors behind disasters through mapping of geological, topographic and environmental conditions in urban areas and public/private assets. X-band data images surface targets — vegetation cover (dense or sparse), riparian forest along rivers, buildings, crops, roads and urbanized areas — with strong detail for thematic and planimetric mapping. P-band data penetrates tree canopy to reveal ground-level features such as fences, flooded areas, paths and selective vegetation cuts, supporting rural land registry, property-boundary identification, geographic-limit delimitation, environmental-preservation mapping and defense applications.
