About Visiona Tecnologia Espacial

Visiona Tecnologia Espacial S.A. is Brazil's leading space systems integrator, established in 2012 as a joint venture between Embraer Defense & Security and Telebras to fulfill the goals of Brazil's National Space Activities Program (PNAE) and Strategic Space Systems Program (PESE). The company was created to build sovereign national capability in satellite systems integration, reducing Brazil's historical dependence on foreign suppliers for strategic space infrastructure.

Visiona's flagship program was the SGDC (Geostationary Defense and Strategic Communications Satellite), launched in 2017 to bring broadband internet coverage to the entire Brazilian territory while providing a secure, sovereign communications channel for national defense. Through the associated Technology Absorption and Technology Transfer Programs, Visiona engineers trained alongside international partners (including Thales Alenia Space) and went on to build the company's own satellite engineering, assembly, integration and test (AIT) competencies, now applied to national programs and third-party missions.

Building on that heritage, Visiona designed the VCUB1, the first Earth observation and data-collection nanosatellite conceived entirely by Brazilian industry, spanning a scalable 3U-to-27U+ platform architecture. The program delivered Brazil's first domestically developed satellite Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) and an onboard software-defined radio, validating sovereign flight software for future national missions.

Beyond satellite manufacturing and integration, Visiona operates as a remote-sensing and systems-integration house: it is an official distributor for several of the world's leading Earth-observation satellite operators, runs the WebVis on-demand satellite-imagery analysis platform, operates Brazil's exclusive X/P-band airborne interferometric SAR (ORBISAR) survey service for forestry, agriculture, environmental and disaster-risk mapping, and provides narrowband (IoT) and broadband satellite communication services built on the VCUB1 and SGDC platforms. Customers span municipalities, energy, agriculture, forestry, environmental agencies and government bodies across Brazil.
