The VRW-D-6 is a large-capacity D-series reaction wheel providing 6 Nms of angular momentum for medium satellite ADCS applications requiring higher control authority. It retains the VRW family’s brushless DC motor, 32-bit microprocessor PI-loop speed control, and four-quadrant PWM drive electronics, supporting torque or speed control modes over RS422/RS485/CAN, radiation tolerance above 20 krad, and in-orbit lifetime exceeding 45,000 hours.
