About
The VPDHS (VECTRONIC Payload Data Handling System) receives incoming payload data, such as camera data, to store, compress and format it for downlink on small satellites. Built on an FPGA/microcontroller architecture, it processes high-speed camera imagery, manages onboard data storage, and transmits formatted payload information to ground stations, combining substantial storage capacity with real-time data compression.
