About
The VRW-D-4 is a higher-capacity D-series reaction wheel delivering 4.0 Nms of angular momentum for larger small/medium satellite platforms. It uses the same brushless DC motor and 32-bit microprocessor PI-loop speed control architecture as the rest of the VRW family, with four-quadrant PWM drive electronics, torque or speed control modes, RS422/RS485/CAN interfaces, radiation tolerance above 20 krad and in-orbit lifetime exceeding 45,000 hours.
