About
The VRW-C-1 is a mid-range member of VECTRONIC Aerospace’s VRW-series reaction wheel family, providing 1.2 Nms of angular momentum for attitude control of small and medium satellites. Like all VRW wheels it uses a brushless DC motor with a PI-loop speed controller on a 32-bit microprocessor and a low-noise four-quadrant PWM drive, supporting torque or speed control over RS422/RS485/CAN. It is qualified for a nominal in-orbit lifetime above 45,000 hours and radiation tolerance greater than 20 krad.
