About
In CHAMP 3D the user can build a complex 3D or rotationally symmetrical waveguide assembly or feed by selecting from a library of predefined components or constructing the waveguide/feed from scratch using simple Boolean operations, or load the assembly from a CAD file. Scattering parameters and radiation from feeds excited by arbitrary waveguide modes can be calculated. A dedicated wizard and 2D editor allow easy setup of axially or radially corrugated horns, smooth-wall horns, and rotationally symmetric reflectors and VSATs. Combined with GRASP in TICRA Tools, users can directly optimise feed chains for reflectors based on final far-field system performance rather than isolated feed subsystem requirements. CHAMP 3D supports direct 3D geometry modelling and seamless handling of imported CAD files, reducing dependency on external CAD tools.
