About
SSTL-MICRO is a microsatellite platform with a reference orbit of 500-800km SSO and a 7-year design life. It carries dual-redundant avionics and AOCS for high reliability, and supports payload masses up to 65kg within a 45x34x34cm envelope, with up to 63W orbit-average power (200W peak). Communications range from S-band uplink/downlink at 19.2/38.4 kbps up to an optional 600kbps uplink and 2Mbps or X-band 140Mbps downlink, with 240GB of payload data storage and read/write rates up to 10Gbit/s. Navigation performance includes 5m GPS position accuracy, 10cm/s velocity accuracy and 100ns time accuracy, with ADCS knowledge/control of 2.5° using sun sensors or 0.05°/0.1° using star trackers.
