About
The SSTL GEO Wheel (SSW-200) is a reaction wheel developed for Airbus GEO satellite platforms, providing 12Nms of angular momentum at up to ±5000rpm and 200mNm of torque. It is designed for a 15.25-year mission life, weighs under 5.6kg, and measures Ø240 x 95mm. It operates on a 48.5-52.5V DC supply, draws under 180W at maximum power, and communicates over RS485. The wheel flew on Eutelsat Quantum, launched in 2021.
