About
Uhura is Skyloom’s geostationary optical relay satellite for GEO-LEO and GEO-Ground data transfer, enabling real-time, super low latency data transmission. Designed and built in-house by Skyloom, this small, high-capacity, multi-user optical relay satellite in geostationary orbit perfectly matches the speed of Earth’s rotation, enabling an always-on connection to Skyloom’s ground stations. Because every link in the chain is optical, Uhura breaks the traditional paradigm of GEO-induced latency, forming the backbone relay node of Skyloom’s planetary-scale optical data transport network.
