About
PPM A1 is a pluggable processor module (PPM) for use with the CubeSat-compatible Motherboard Module (MBM), and is designated as flight hardware (blue). By adding a PPM A1 to an MBM, a user creates a CubeSat-compatible command-and-data-handling (C&DH) module built around Texas Instruments’ 16-bit MSP430 low-power microcontroller family. PPM A1 carries an MSP430F1612 with 55KB of internal Flash memory and 5KB of internal RAM, running at 7.3728MHz. Pumpkin markets this product as Flight Hardware that is Flight Qualified and Space Proven.
Because the schematics, software, test code, and other documentation for this item are provided only with the purchase of a complete CubeSat Kit, PPM A1 may only be ordered “a la carte” once a customer has already purchased a complete CubeSat Kit. This policy allows Pumpkin to provide CubeSat Kit components, associated software, and technical support at low prices.
