About

The Pumpkin BM2 is an intelligent, protected lithium battery module for CubeSat and small satellite power systems. It houses 8 × 18650-size Li-Ion cells in three configurable configurations: 2S4P (5.2–8.4V), 3S2P (7.8–12.6V, 6 cells), or 4S2P (10.4–16.8V), with capacity options of 72Wh, 86Wh, or 100Wh depending on cell grade.

A SupMCU co-processor provides coulomb-counting state-of-charge (SoC) reporting, automatic cell balancing, and a programmable heater. Protection circuits cover overvoltage (OV), undervoltage (UV), overcurrent (OC), and overtemperature (OT) with automatic fault clearing. Maximum continuous output is 15A (160W peak). The module footprint is 100×100mm and interfaces via SCPI over I2C to the host CubeSat bus.
