A CDS-compliant cover-plate assembly with four corner feet used on the payload end of a CubeSat Kit structure to interface a machined-aluminum external payload, typically paired with the Payload Adapter Plate.

About
The Payload Cover Plate Assembly is used on the payload end of a CubeSat Kit™ structure. Precision constructed from Al 5052-H32 and plated according to the CubeSat Design Specification (CDS), a Payload Cover Plate Assembly is typically secured to an external payload (typically machined from aluminum) via an M3 bolt square pattern.
The Payload Cover Plate Assembly includes four corner feet to satisfy the CDS foot/rail requirements. By selecting an appropriately sized Chassis Walls, users can build a hybrid sheetmetal + machined-aluminum CubeSat structure, or attach additional “solid” structural elements to a CubeSat Kit™ structure.
The Payload Cover Plate Assembly is often paired with a Payload Adapter Plate, with a machined aluminum user payload located between them. As Flight Hardware, it is Flight Qualified and Space Proven.
