A hard-anodized aluminum standoff kit that couples the four threaded-rod columns of a CubeSat electronics module stack to the Chassis Walls, preventing lateral motion under vibration.

About
The Mid-plane Standoff (MPS) Kit consists of four unique precision hard-anodized aluminum pieces plus the necessary fastening hardware to couple each of the four threaded rod columns in the corners of a CubeSat-compatible electronics module stack to the CubeSat Kit™’s structure.
The MPS Kit secures the module stack and prevents it from excessive motion when shaken in the X and Y axes, improving structural stiffness and vibration performance of the assembled satellite. Use of one or more MPS Kits is highly recommended for any CubeSat Kit structure over 1U in length, and it can also be used in 1U CubeSat Kits when space permits.
CubeSat Kit Chassis Walls in 1U, 1.5U, 2U and 3U sizes have pre-drilled mounting holes for one or more MPS Kits, based on the length of the Chassis Walls. A datasheet (711-00331-B) is available with further dimensional detail.
