About
The Pumpkin MBM2 (Motherboard Module 2) is the primary on-board computer for the Pumpkin CubeSat Kit and SUPERNOVA bus ecosystems. It runs a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor (BeagleBone Black) under Linux, providing a familiar software development environment for CubeSat flight software in C, C++, Python, Perl, and Rust.
The module provides 4.5× UARTs, 6× GPIO, I2C, SPI, USB host and device, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, RS-422, and an LVTTL PHY. Onboard storage uses an SPI SD card with a battery-backed RTC and watchdog timer for reliability. The MBM2 plugs into the standard 104-pin CubeSat Kit bus and has a height of 15.24mm (0.600 inches). This module is flight-qualified and space-proven.
