About
The Large Aperture Cover Plate Assembly is typically used on the payload end of a CubeSat Kit™ structure. Precision constructed from Al 5052-H32 and plated according to the CubeSat Design Specification (CDS), each Large-Aperture Cover Plate Assembly is secured to the Chassis Walls via four M3 flathead stainless-steel screws.
Each Large Aperture Cover Plate Assembly includes four corner feet and a central cutout of 88mm diameter, allowing clearance for a payload element (e.g., an optical instrument, aperture, or antenna) that must protrude through or view through the cover plate. Options include separation plungers in the feet, and additional separation switches in the feet.
As Flight Hardware, it is Flight Qualified and Space Proven, offered with a Separation Switch option of None or Dual.
