JFPC-PIC24 Programming Adapter

The JFPC-PIC24 Programming Adapter is used to connect a Microchip In-Circuit Debugger (ICD) or a Microchip PICkit to a Pluggable Processor Module (PPM) D1/D2/E1 on the CubeSat Kit. It provides a 6-pin RJ-11 jack on one side (for the ICD 3’s phone-style cable) and a 6-pin flat printed circuit cable (FPC) on the other side, with a 6-pin 0.100″ pitch header in between for connecting to the low-cost family of Microchip PICkit programmers.

The adapter kit includes a JFPIC-PIC24 Programming Adapter and a 6-pin Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) cable. In use, a Microchip ICD 3 or PICkit debugger/programmer connects to a PPM D1/D2/E1 for programming and debugging via the JFPC-PIC24.

It is compatible with the following CubeSat Kit modules: BIM 1, BM 2, BSM 1, EPSM 1, GPSRM 1, PIM 1, PPM D1, PPM D2, PPM E1, and SIM 1. The JFPC-PIC24 is NOT used with the PSPM D or PSPM E modules, since each of those has its own dedicated 6-pin RJ-11 jack and 6-pin 0.100″ pitch header for direct connection to a Microchip ICD 3 or PICkit.

The JFPC-PIC24 is included as standard equipment in: the CubeSat Kit with the Microchip PIC24FJ256GA110 (PSPM D & PPM D1), the CubeSat Kit with the Microchip dsPIC33FJ256GP710 (PSPM D & PPM D2), and the CubeSat Kit with the Microchip PIC24FJ256GB210 (PSPM E & PPM E1); it is also part of the GPSRM 1 module.
