About
The Flight Switch Simulator Module provides one simulated Remove-Before-Flight (RBF) switch and up to three simulated Separation switches that are electrically compatible with common CubeSat-class Electrical Power Systems (EPS). It is used during ground testing and integration to emulate the behavior of flight RBF and separation/deployment switches without requiring the physical deployment switches or a P-POD/dispenser to be present.
The three simulated Separation switches can be logically combined via AND and OR logic, selectable via user-settable jumpers on the module, allowing engineers to reproduce various deployment-switch wiring topologies used across different spacecraft designs. The module includes one completely assembled Flight Switch Simulator Module and is compatible with all CubeSats that conform to the CubeSat Kit Bus standard with its 104-pin connector. It is categorized by Pumpkin as development hardware.
