About
This software and hardware upgrade package contains all of the Microchip PIC24FJ256GA110-specific components included in a CubeSat Kit. It is intended for CubeSat Kit customers who purchased a CubeSat Kit with another processor family, and wish to also develop with Microchip’s 16-bit PIC24FJ256GA110 MCUs while reusing their existing Development Board (DB), etc.
The upgrade includes these processor-specific components for the Microchip PIC24FJ256GA110 MCU: a Pluggable Socketed Processor Module D (PSPM D) with PIC24FJ256GA110, a Pluggable Processor Module D1 (PPM D1), a JFPC-PIC24 Programming Adapter, a Microchip MPLAB-ICD3 USB In-Circuit Debugger, Salvo Pro for PIC24 MCUs and dsPIC DSCs, PIC24 CubeSat Kit Software, and the HCC-Embedded PIC24 EFFS-THIN SD Card Library for the CubeSat Kit.
The upgrade is compatible with the following free software packages from Microchip: MPLAB X IDE and the XC16 C compiler. It is compatible only with particular releases of the MPLAB X IDE and XC16 C compiler; currently supported versions are listed in the CubeSat Kit /PIC24 download area, and versions other than those listed may not be supported.
This upgrade has the same overall compatibility as the CubeSat Kit /PIC24 (PIC24FJ256GA110). CAD models and datasheets, where applicable, are provided via the individual CubeSat Kit component pages rather than on this upgrade’s own page.
Purchasing restriction: this upgrade is available only to customers who have already purchased a CubeSat Kit; proof of a prior CubeSat Kit purchase is required. Classified as Development Hardware, Development Software, Flight Hardware, Flight Qualified, and Space Proven.
