CubeSat Kit Upgrade to MSP430

This software and hardware upgrade package contains all of Texas Instruments’ MSP430-specific components included in a CubeSat Kit. It is intended for CubeSat Kit customers who purchased a Kit with another processor family and wish to also develop with TI’s 16-bit MSP430 MCUs while reusing their existing Development Board (DB) and other kit infrastructure. Pumpkin classifies the product as Development Hardware, Development Software, Flight Hardware, Flight Qualified, and Space Proven.

The upgrade includes these processor-specific components: an MSP-TS430PM64 Adapter with MSP430F2618, MSP430F1612, or MSP430F1611; a Pluggable Processor Module A3 (PPM A3) as standard (PPM A1 or PPM A2 can be specified instead); a JFPC-MSP430 Programming Adapter; a TI MSP430 USB Flash Emulation Tool; Salvo Pro for TI’s MSP430; MSP430 CubeSat Kit Software; and the HCC-Embedded MSP430 EFFS-THIN SD Card Library for the CubeSat Kit.

The upgrade is compatible only with the CrossWorks for MSP430 toolchain from Rowley Associates; no other MSP430 toolchains are supported, and customers must purchase CrossWorks for MSP430 separately (educational discounts may be available from Rowley). This upgrade otherwise has the same compatibility as the CubeSat Kit /MSP430. It is available only to customers who have already purchased a CubeSat Kit; proof of a prior CubeSat Kit purchase is required.
