About
This is a full-size (340.5mm x 100mm x 100mm) plastic model of a 3U CubeSat that follows the CubeSat Design Specification (CDS). Were it an actual CubeSat, it would represent an assembled CubeSat compatible with the P-POD and similar CubeSat dispensers. It reproduces Pumpkin’s line of CubeSat Kit structures and has dummy solar panels with highly realistic solar cell stickers on all six faces. It is classified as Display Hardware, Not for Flight.
This display model is excellent for trade show displays and for mission fundraising, as it conveys the scale of a 3U CubeSat in a form that can be passed around an audience. The model has no electrical functionality, and no part can be converted to a flight-ready component. There are no separation mechanisms, nor deployment switches. This is a one-piece model and is not intended to be disassembled.
For actual flight-capable structures, Pumpkin refers customers to its comprehensive line of CubeSat Kit structures.
