About
The CubeSat Thruster is Perigee Aerospace’s compact and capable cold gas propulsion system (CPS) for small satellites, using refrigerant-based propellants to offer excellent storage density, low leakage, and safe handling compared to traditional cold gas systems. The thruster is delivered as an all-in-one, integrated design combining electronics, nozzle, valves, and heaters in a single compact unit, simplifying integration onto CubeSat and small satellite buses. Power consumption is under 5 W during normal operation at 298 K, rising to under 8 W initially (up to 15 W total) during propellant heating at 273 K, making it suitable for power-constrained smallsat platforms requiring attitude control, station-keeping, or deorbit maneuvers.
