About
Orbital Systems offers deployment systems for launching CubeSat small satellites in 1U, 1.5U, 2U, 3U, 6U, 8U, 12U, and 16U form factors. All deployment systems have undergone extensive ground testing and have many years of successful flight history.
Key features include bilateral access windows on both sides, flexibility to accommodate 1U through 16U CubeSats, secured satellites until deployment command, and redundant mechanical and electronic systems. The deployment system is the lightest on the Russian market for the CubeSat format.
Each unit includes a command-and-telemetry unit for interfacing with the launch vehicle, providing telemetry packet generation and transmission capabilities. The systems have been flight-proven aboard Soyuz-2 launch vehicles with the Fregat upper stage since 2020.
Flight history covers numerous commercial and educational missions, with 7 ground stations constructed and commissioned to support CubeSat operations post-deployment.
