About
The largest platform in the Orbital Systems lineup, the 12U CubeSat format provides a maximum payload volume of up to 9U. The 12U platform includes a propulsion system capable of high-impulse maneuvers for orbit insertion, orbit maintenance, precision formation flight, orbit synchronization, and atmospheric drag compensation.
Additionally, it provides an extended active service life for the satellite in the target orbit and opens up new opportunities for unique missions. The platform supports up to 100 W peak power for payloads and can accommodate up to 16 kg payload mass. Extended interfaces include I2C, UART, CAN, SPI, 100BASE-TX Ethernet port, and RS422. Communication modules support Ku/X/S/VHF/UHF bands with 32 Gb onboard memory.
Power channels include an extended VBAT range of 3–18 V in addition to standard 3.3 V and 5 V. System consumption is 7 W with a platform mass of 6.5 kg. Designed for up to 5-year active service life.
