Leaf Key — Dedicated Ground Station

Leaf Key is Leaf Space’s dedicated ground station service, providing satellite operators with a fully exclusive or partially dedicated antenna deployed and managed by Leaf Space. Unlike the shared Leaf Line network, Leaf Key gives operators priority or sole access to a specific antenna asset — ideal for missions requiring high downlink capacity, low-latency operations, specialized frequency bands, or strict regulatory compliance with regard to antenna control.

Operators choose from two commitment models: 100% dedicated use (the antenna is reserved exclusively for their satellite) or part-time dedication (Leaf Space may use the antenna for other missions during idle periods, reducing the operator’s cost while still guaranteeing access windows). Both models are controlled through the same unified Leaf Space API used for Leaf Line — eliminating the complexity of managing separate interfaces for antenna hardware and modem systems.

Leaf Key antennas can be deployed at any existing Leaf Space network site across the 19-location global network, or installed at a customer-specified facility. Leaf Space handles site evaluation, procurement, permitting, installation, commissioning, and ongoing first-level maintenance regardless of location. Supported frequency bands include S-band and X-band as standard, with higher bands available on request. Leaf Key integrates with Leaf Space’s automated mission planning and scheduling tools for optimized pass utilization.
