About
ARQUIMEA is a fully European fabless design house offering space-grade IP cores and IC products specializing in transceivers and converters. The core product line is a family of radiation-hardened LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) devices developed for enabling SpaceWire and SpaceFibre on-board communications. These devices allow data transmission along twisted-pair cables at very high data rates and are available in three forms: soft IP core, space-grade ceramic package, and plastic package.
The LVDS family includes four devices: Rad-Hard LVDS Driver, Rad-Hard LVDS Receiver, Rad-Hard LVDS Transceiver (ARQ-LVT001 — Dual BiCMOS 500+ Mbps bus driver-receiver pair), and Rad-Hard LVDS Repeater (developed for ESA under the European Components Initiative). These devices are designed using commercial process nodes with specific rad-hard standard cell libraries and hardening-by-design techniques to provide immunity against total ionizing dose (TID), latch-up, single-event upsets (SEU), transients, and displacement damage.
In addition to LVDS, ARQUIMEA has developed SEPHY — a 10/100 Mbps Space Ethernet Physical Layer Transceiver (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) funded by the European Commission under H2020, targeting the first space-qualified Ethernet PHY compatible with standard ground equipment. SECHIS is a SERDES chip for space applications funded via the Eurostars program.
