About
ARQUIMEA operates as a fabless rad-hard microelectronics design house providing analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits — including IP cores, ASICs, FPGAs, ASSPs, and standard components — for space missions. The company covers the full development chain from requirements definition, feasibility analysis, and technology selection through RTL/schematic design, physical implementation, manufacturing coordination, and qualification to space standards (ESA ECSS, MIL, NASA).
ARQUIMEA applies commercial process technologies with specific radiation-hardening-by-design (RHBD) techniques, spanning mature process nodes up to deep submicron (22 nm FDSOI and below). Key delivered programs include: the REDSAT/SPAINSAT NG chip set (1,500+ flight units since 2012, for Airbus Defence & Space’s reconfigurable active antenna GEO satellite); QUANTUM — a fast beam-hopping digital ASIC for GEO telecommunications; TMTC ASIC — a mixed-signal device for telemetry/telecommand in PCDUs and ICUs; and evaluation of 22 nm FDSOI technology for space under H2020.
All products are ITAR/EAR free and developed under ESA, NASA, and MIL quality standards.
