Yuri Clinostat
Compact 2D ground-based clinostat for simulating microgravity and partial-gravity conditions, sized for use inside standard lab incubators.
Description
The Yuri Clinostat is a ground-based microgravity simulation device that rotates samples to simulate microgravity in two dimensions, complementing the 3-dimensional simulation offered by Yuri's RPM. It fits inside a standard lab incubator and supports gravity levels between 10^-3 g and 0.9 g, covering microgravity as well as Moon and Mars partial-gravity conditions. The system supports up to 45 samples with a wide range of compatible sample sizes (1-15 ml), and includes a control unit located outside the incubator for permanent surveillance and control, together with PC and software for operating the device and monitoring its parameters. An automated calculation determines the optimal rotation for the desired gravity simulation.
