About this service
Satellite as a Service is D-Orbit’s end-to-end managed mission offering. Rather than building or buying their own spacecraft, customers contract for the capability — Earth observation, communications, IoT — and D-Orbit delivers the satellite, launch, in-orbit commissioning and operations on their behalf.
LEO and GEO platforms are available. Typical deployment timeline runs 6 months to 2 years from contract. The IRIDE Earth-observation program (joint ESA / ASI initiative, ~€26M contract) is one reference deployment for the SaaS model.
