About

VACCO produces an assortment of high-precision pressure regulators, from single-stage to series-redundant and hard-seat to soft-seat designs, covering flow rates from very small up to 1.0 lbm/sec across gases including argon, helium, iodine, nitrogen, oxygen, water and xenon. Many designs integrate VACCO’s proprietary etched-disc inlet filter for improved reliability and cleanliness, in some cases eliminating a discrete filter component. The VACCO Universal Satellite Pressure Regulator (VUSPR) combines elements of the NASA Integrated Apogee Boost Subsystem (IABS) program and the Shuttle RCS regulator with VACCO design improvements, and is qualified for the Alphabus, Spacebus and Eurostar platforms as well as the domestic A2100, GPS III and GOES programs. VACCO regulators have flown on the Space Shuttle and Space Launch System, and were selected to provide the high-flow regulator for NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory (Curiosity) descent-stage sky-crane maneuver.
