About
Since the introduction of the latch valve family in 1988, VACCO latch valves have become an industry standard for propellant and pressurant isolation on spacecraft. They feature a no-sliding-fit valve design, an integral etched-disc inlet filter, fast response and high reliability, and are available in titanium or stainless steel. The product line spans low to high flow rates at operating pressures up to 5,000 psia (350 bar). VACCO latch valves have flown on Boeing HS601/HS702, Orbital Sciences Star-2, Astrium Eurostar 3000 (Xenon propulsion), and Mitsubishi Electric DS2000 satellite platforms, and support ISS resupply vehicles including the European ATV, Japanese HTV, and Orbital Sciences/NASA Cygnus. Positive isolation valve and propellant latch valve variants are also offered for propellant gauging and fluid isolation applications.
