About
VACCO designs, develops and maintains a full line of fill and drain (service) valves for the space and missile industries, ranging from high pressure to low pressure and standard to miniature/micro sizes, for gas and propellant service. The valves are manually operated and incorporate VACCO’s pioneered anti-rotation, rising-stem feature, achieving extremely tight leakage with two or three redundant seals against external leakage. The 1/4-inch High Pressure Gas Fill and Drain Valve is used on propulsion systems such as the Alcatel Spacebus Unified Propulsion System (UPS) and Plasma Propulsion Subsystem (PPS) for filling and draining helium and xenon gas before launch and during ground testing.
