About

VACCO offers a complete line of human-rated T-0 interstage disconnect couplings and unique in-space refueling mechanisms across three families: pneumatic couplings, cryogenic fluid couplings, and hazardous fluid couplings. Pneumatic quick disconnects provide the critical precision link between a launch vehicle and pad operations for fill, vent, purge and leak-check applications, and are also used to pressurize life-support and environmental-control systems. Cryogenic quick disconnects are available in latching or non-latching configurations for fuel-cell fill/drain, propulsion fill/drain, cryogenic vent, and power reactant storage/distribution systems. Hazardous fluid couplings provide precision operation under extreme service conditions for filling chemical propulsion systems on launch vehicles or spacecraft. VACCO couplings supported the DARPA Orbital Express mission, in which the Astro and NextSat satellites achieved the first robotic on-orbit fuel transfer.
