About
The PST4S-H1 Star Tracker is a compact ‘pico’ star tracker designed for attitude determination on small satellites, featuring low power consumption (0.9W) and a compact sensor+baffle package (57x57x141 mm3, 310g), suited for CubeSats and other mass/power-constrained spacecraft. It uses a refractive optical design, offers a 15×18 degree effective field of view, 10 Hz update rate, and 3 deg/s dynamic performance, allowing attitude lock under moderate slewing. It withstands vibration loads (13g sine/12 grms random FM; 16g sine/18 grms random qualification), operates from -40C to 40C, and tolerates radiation up to 30 Krad [Si]. It communicates via RS422/CAN, runs on 5V input, and has a 5-year rated lifetime. TY-Space notes over 100 sets of PST-series star trackers have been launched and are operating on orbit, with customized versions available.
