About
The PST3S-H4 Star Tracker is a compact autonomous attitude-sensing instrument (sensor+baffle, 33x33x98 mm3, 95g) built on a refractive optical design. It is engineered for small satellites requiring precise on-orbit attitude determination, providing a 15×18 degree effective field of view, 10 Hz update rate, and dynamic tracking up to 3 deg/s while detecting reference stars down to 5.8 Mv (Go.Ref star). It communicates via RS422/CAN, operates from a 5V supply consuming only 1W, and is rated for a 5-year lifetime. It withstands a working temperature range of -40C to 40C, radiation exposure up to 30 Krad [Si], and vibration loads of 13g sine/12 grms random (FM) or 16g sine/18 grms random (qualification), with sun/earth exclusion angles under 35/25 degrees, suiting low-power, radiation-tolerant satellite attitude control applications.
